Out of interest what is you favourite moment in a film? This could just be a clip or the whole thing.

Mine film is Ginger Snaps cos it is a brilliantly written story of a girl who changes into a werewolf and kills people (I m sorry I suck at explaining other peoples films and I can't be bothered right now).

Recently, it's the downbeat look on Pedro's face just after the popular cheerleader girl has done her skit on stage in Napoleon Dynamite?

... And then it's Napoleon?s "dance" 30 seconds later.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I don't know that I'd go so far to say "brilliantly written", but its a great little indie flick. Have you seen the other two in the trilogy? I didn't care much for the second one, but the third, "Ginger Snaps Back", is actually a period piece that features both actresses from the original movie and is set during the American colonial period. Parts of it are a little dry, but some of the shots are beautiful. If you liked the first movie, I'd highly recomend the third.

As far as my favorite moment, its pretty much any shot from any movie ever made that doesn't involve a ton of CGI or wire-stunts.

My favourite shot is most likely the opening shot of Paul Newman in 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'. For those of you who don't know, it is the beginning of a sepia sequence with this really sharp focus pull from a reflection in a window, then to the actor's face inside the room. Really beautiful stuff.

Almost every bloody moment in Seven Samurai. It's all so full of wonderful character development, brialliantly use of mise en scene and pretty pictures, you can hardly go wrong with any of it.

The ending, where the young samurai hysterically runs around screaming where the last bandits are and then getting the response from his 'leader' "They're all dead!" is beautiful. The poses they strike. The water coming down from the sky.

When Jack Nicholson opens up the envelope and sees the little boys drawing. One of the most emotional moments I'd seen in a while.

I'd been dying to see Ginger Snaps for about a year, mainly because Harry at AICN gave it such a great review. So I downloaded [img]redface.gif[/img] the DVD-R and I thought the beginning was great while the ending sucked.

My favourite scene? Probably the ending of Fight Club, from the start of Pixies' "Where is my mind?" to the closing credits.

Hey I got Ginger snaps 2 and 3 on dvd a while back but I ve only watched ginger snaps 2 and didn't think it was that good i might get round to watching 3 sometime this week hopefully.

What did you think of Napoleon Dynamite I wanted to see it but it wasn't on at my local cinema?

Where Holden confesses his love to Alyssa in Chasing Amy.

People give Ben Affleck shit, but I think he's a solid actor, and really funny guy, if you've seen in him action on any of Kevin Smith's DVDs. This is probably his finest moment, and one that gets me everytime. Love this flick to death.

That or Bruce Campbell fighting his own hand in Evil Dead 2 [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
